Il progetto ha previsto la realizzazione di una casa studio all’interno di un edificio a torre esistente.

Gli spazi, dislocati su cinque livelli di cui due ipogei, versavano in condizioni insalubri e totalmente da ristrutturare.

Portare la luce e l’aria naturale in tutti gli ambienti è stata una delle sfide che ha affrontato il progetto.

In tal senso, la creazione di un piccolo patio, che si imposta fino al primo livello interrato, ha fornito l’abitazione di una “torre del vento”.

Aprendo o chiudendo opportunamente i vari diaframmi di comunicazione tra il patio e l’abitazione, è possibile raffrescare i locali interni e permettere un opportuno ricambio dell’aria secondo le necessità.

La volontà è quella di confrontarsi con una coscienza, una memoria antica, che ricollega tipologie e tecnologie derivanti da un dimenticato rapporto uomo-natura.

Inoltre, i collegamenti fra i differenti livelli sono stati studiati in modo da ridurne al minimo l’ingombro e lasciare più spazio alle funzioni dell’abitare.

Le scale si configurano come vero e proprio “meccanismo per la visione” e per la scoperta dei differenti ambienti dell’abitazione, sia privati sia dediti al lavoro: i rimandi visivi, gli affacci, gli ambienti su doppia altezza, i differenti materiali svelano gli intrecci di uno spazio labirintico.

The project concerns the construction of a house with a workshop, inside an existing tower building. The spaces, located on five levels of which two hypogea, were in unhealthy conditions and totally to be restored.

One of the challenges facing the project was bringing light and natural air into all environments.

In this sense, the creation of a small patio, based on the first underground level, provided the home of a "wind tower".

By opening or closing appropriately the various communication diaphragms between the patio and the house, it is possible to cool the internal rooms and allow an appropriate air exchange, according to the needs.

The will is to confront a conscience, an ancient memory, which reconnects typologies and technology deriving from a forgotten relationship between man and nature.

Moreover, the connections between the different levels have been studied in such a way as to reduce the overall dimensions to a minimum and leave more room for the functions of living.

The stairs are configured as a real "mechanism for viewing" and the discovery of the different rooms of the house, both private and dedicated to work: the visual references, the views, the rooms on double height, the different materials reveal the interweaving of a labyrinthine space.
